What Do “Dragon, Acupoint, Hills and Water” Mean in Feng Shui? — Understand Feng Shui in 3 Minutes!

Hello everyone, I’m Master Francis from Xuan Yi Geomancy (Singapore).

Many people have heard of the Feng Shui concept of Dragon, Acupoint, Hills and Water. It may sound complicated, but today, I’ll explain it in simple, modern terms.

First, “Dragon” refers to the overall landscape and its greater movement — where the energy comes from and where it flows.

Next, “Acupoint” (Site) refers to the key location where energy gathers and settles within the environment.

“Hills” (Landforms) are the surrounding mountains or terrain that provide protection from the front, back, left and right — much like the walls surrounding a home.

Finally, “Water” traditionally refers to flowing water. In a modern city, roads and traffic flow can also be viewed as “water” because they represent movement and circulation.

In simple terms: Dragon represents the overall flow, Acupoint is where energy gathers, Hills provide protection, and Water represents movement and circulation.

That is how we can understand the ancient concept of Dragon, Acupoint, Hills and Water from a modern perspective.
